On the 8th of October 2023 at the Qatar Formula 1 race, team Maclaren accomplished a new fastest pitstop time of 1.80 seconds, beating team Red Bull’s time of 1.82 seconds. That means in less than two seconds, a Formula 1 car comes to a complete stop, is lifted off the ground, all four tyres are changed, the car is once more lowered to the ground and the car starts its pit lane exit. The Formula 1 pit stop is universally regarded as an unparalleled example of world class teamwork, execution, and delivery under pressure.
